The Compliance team has updated the ACA Advisor on proposed rules for health reimbursement arrangements to incorporate guidance issued this month from the Department of the Treasury and the IRS.
The ACA Advisor titled Tri-Agency Proposed Rule on Health Reimbursement Arrangements has been updated to include guidance to clarify how the employer shared responsibility provisions and Section 105(h) nondiscrimination rules would apply to the proposed rule. The goal of the proposed rule is to expand the flexibility and use of HRAs to provide individuals with additional options to obtain quality, affordable healthcare.
