The Compliance team has updated several previously-published Compliance Advisors based on changes in regulations toward the end of 2018.
Because of the court order vacating certain wellness rules as of January 1, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission two final rules removing certain incentive provisions within the wellness regulations, the ACA Advisor titled Understanding Wellness Programs and their Legal Requirements has been updated again.
Associated with that, the Compliance Advisor titled Court Modifies Order Regarding EEOC Wellness Rules now includes information about those EEOC final rules.
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas issued three orders at the end of December regarding the court case challenging ACA constitutionality. The ACA Advisor titled Status of Court Case Challenging ACA Constitutionality, published in December, has been updated again to include the latest developments in that court case.
The ACA Advisor titled Highlights of the Small Employer Tax Credit was originally published in 2016 and has been updated to reflect 2018 numbers for average premiums in small group markets and wage levels. Due to its length, this Advisor is only available as a Microsoft Word document.
The ACA Advisor titled Large Group Insured Plans and the ACA has been updated to reflect the definition of small employer as 50 instead of 100 employees, add indexed health FSA and out-of-pocket limit numbers, and update several effective dates for several provisions.
