Employee Benefits Video Library Proposal

On Thursday, August 8, Flimp Communications conducted a demo of the Employee Benefits Video Library program that UBA is proposing on behalf of UBA Partners. If you missed the demo, you can still watch the recording and weigh in with your interest in participating in the program.

UBA staff has received requests from Partners to develop an Employee Benefit Video Library that offers an alternative to annual licensing and optimizes the power of our UBA culture — shared resources. The Branding and Marketing Committee (BAM) has concluded vetting several resources and has selected Flimp Communications for Partner consideration. UBA is conducting a demo and a short survey to gauge Partner interest, determine program preference, and to evaluate pricing.

Flimp Communications was chosen because of their focused experience in employee communications and their ability to deliver for fall renewal season. Their library, that will be modified to be unique to UBA, includes more than 50 videos on medical, specialty, wealth management, and general HR topics. This out-of-the box solution saves time and money by avoiding the problems associated with developing similar videos from scratch.

Following is the at-a-glance pricing and detail of the video program proposal, along with two purchasing options for your consideration. Option 1: One-time purchase of HR benefits video library without hosting, distribution, tracking & reporting, and support

50 minutes of script-based, customized video production of an HR Benefits Video Library with UBA branding. This equates to 25, 2-minute videos at a cost per video of only $180, based on 30 Partners participating and includes:

  • Incorporate client branding into "Enhanced" Bold Lines style option
  • Per-minute pricing based on the volume of 20+ minutes at $1,050/minute
  • Second-language (Spanish, etc.) video versions are $800/minute regardless of volume
  • Script editing, storyboarding, professional voice over, and video editing
  • Up to two rounds of video edits within established parameters
  • Perpetual-usage rights
  • UBA and/or UBA Partner Firm logos can be added to individual videos for a one-time cost of $100 per video
  • Videos delivered as mp4 files
  • Annual maintenance costs per Partner Firm will range from $250 to $400 depending on the adoption rate and if the participating Partners choose to add new videos
  • New adopters will pay the original one-time investment fee and the funds dispersed to the original investors or applied toward reducing annual maintenance fees
  • Custom videos can be requested by individual Partners to add to their library

Does not include:

  • Video-content hosting and tracking account and support with:
    https secure, 24/7/365 hosting, viewing, and distribution options (email, QR codes, custom URLs, embed code, intranet portals, etc.)
  • Comprehensive tracking & reporting by state, city, and ZIP code
  • Dedicated customer service manager

Cost per Partner Firm will be based on tiered pricing for the number of Partners that adopt the program:
$6,000 = one-time investment per Partner if 10 Partners participate
$3,000 = one-time investment per Partner if 20 Partners participate
$2,000 = one-time investment per Partner if 30 Partners participate
$1,500 = one-time investment per Partner if 40 Partners participate
$1,200 = one-time investment per Partner if 50 Partners participate


Option 2: Annual license of HR benefits video library with hosting, distribution, tracking & reporting, and support

Requires a minimum of 10 UBA Partner Firms to sign up for set of 25 videos at $2,500 per Firm. Cost per video is only $100 per year for unlimited use with hosting, distribution, tracking & reporting, and support and the cost of each additional video per Firm per year would be $100 over the initial 25 videos. OPTIONAL for any licensed video: Individual UBA Partner Firms may brand videos with logo slate for an additional $100 per video.

  • 12-month unlimited access with the use of up to 25 HR Benefit Videos from the library with 100+ videos in English and/or Spanish:
  • HR Benefits Video-content account and license for each Firm and includes:
    • Https secure, 24/7/365 hosting, viewing, and distribution options (email, QR codes, custom URLs, embed code, intranet portals, etc.)
    • Custom video player with URL link for hosting multiple videos
    • Any future video updates made for regulatory compliance reasons
    • Dashboard for licensed video tracking & engagement reporting by state, city, and ZIP code
    • Dedicated customer service manager
