Absence and Disability

The Standard surveyed 501 HR business decision-makers to rate their organizations’ absence and disability practices. We also asked them to rate their confidence in managing absence and disability. Then we compiled and averaged their scores to produce “Readiness Index” grades. The results show a gap between employers’ confidence levels and actual practices.

Even though employers indicated that they are confident, their scores for practices show they might not be doing as good of a job as they might think.

  • 56% of employers scored a C, D or F for Absence Practices*
  • 64% of employers scored a C, D or F for Disability Practices*

Our disability programs can help your clients improve their practices and raise their grades. We proactively manage disability through our unique Workplace Possibilities Program and help employees facing a hardship to be as productive as possible.
