With the holidays at our doorsteps, I am reminded about the true spirit of the season and the camaraderie we all share with our friends, family, and colleagues throughout the year. As we reflect on the people we are grateful to have in our lives, we must also look forward to how we can continue to help each other be more successful in the future. Celebrating the past and bringing in the new year has always been and will continue to be better with the help and support from each other.
In the spirit of sharing and collaboration, the UBA Conference Committee has selected the “Better Together” mantra as the theme for the 2018 UBA Conferences. Our goal is to recapture the culture of shared wisdom that makes us all better—and makes this organization great. The UBA 2018 Winter Conference will be your first opportunity to experience our efforts to facilitate and continue this tradition.
We couldn’t think of a better way to fuel successful collaboration than featuring not just one PowerPak session, but two PowerPak sessions, as well as a PowerPak panel at the Winter Conference. The agenda also features a sought-after keynote speaker, Kevin Trokey, Founding Partner of Q4intelligence, who will share his insights and commitment to the preservation and transformation of the independent agency system.
John Hauber, President of Sharp Hiring and long-standing UBA Performance Resources consultant, will be speaking on achieving sustained growth and unlocking the power of your corporate DNA, and a timely cyber security breakout session will be featured Tuesday. In addition, to better leverage our proprietary benchmarking survey, you will learn about the implementation of the UNIFI platform that will take our collective contributions to an entirely new digital arena and help us leap-frog the competition in 2018.
Of course, there are many other opportunities to network on the golf course, during session breaks, at the dine-arounds and during the business meetings. You won’t want to miss the regional and Shareholders’ meetings Sunday and the PowerPak panel followed by the Unifi presentation Tuesday. So, plan to arrive early and stay through Tuesday afternoon. These conferences are designed to foster the spirit that we all benefit from and would not be as effective without everyone’s participation.
