2019 UBA Fall Conference Update

Posted by: Meg Cipar    Mar 4, 2019

There has been a schedule change for the 2019 Fall Conference and Expo. The new dates will be Sunday, September 8, through Tuesday, September 10.

UBA_FallConf19_ImageA year ago, the Conference Committee received Partner requests to consider changing the Conference opening and closing days. A survey was subsequently conducted to gauge Partner interest to move the Conference opening and closing days from the traditional Sunday through Tuesday period, to an opening on Monday and closing on Wednesday. The survey results in favor of this change were submitted to the UBA Board of Directors and approved, and the UBA events staff was directed to book both the 2019 Spring and 2019 Fall Conferences accordingly.

Over the past several weeks, the UBA Board has received requests to change the schedule for the 2019 Fall Conference back to the traditional Sunday through Tuesday schedule. This request was due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts at the time the Conference was originally planned and a preference for the traditional opening and closing days. The new dates for the 2019 Fall Conference and Expo will be Sunday, September 8, through Tuesday, September 10.

The UBA Board wanted to notify everyone far in advance to allow you ample time to plan for flight reservations. The agenda for the 2019 Fall Conference and Expo will follow our traditional schedule with regional meetings Sunday morning, PowerPaks and Shareholder/Business meetings on Sunday afternoon, followed by the reception and networking. We are also considering moving the closing ceremonies earlier on Tuesday with the goal to increase attendance by better accommodating Partners with lengthy travel schedules.

We understand that this change may impact those who have scheduled previous engagements but feel this decision is in the best interest of the majority of our Partners. Please submit any questions you may have to your regional UBA Board Member.
