The Compliance Team has updated a previously published Advisor on ACA fees to reflect recent changes in regulations and has prepared a new Advisor summarizing new guidance on Mental Health and Substance Abuse Disorder Parity. The co-branded Advisors have been sent to Partners and are available on AdEase as an email and Microsoft Word document.

The IRS issued a notice that the health insurance providers fee (HIP) will resume for 2020. Our previously-published Advisor on the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Fee, Transitional Reinsurance Fee (TRF), and Health Insurance Providers (HIP) Fee has been updated to reflect the current fee amounts.

The U.S. Departments of the Treasury, Labor, and Health and Human Services have issued final FAQs and an enforcement fact sheet regarding mental health and substance use disorder parity. The new ACA Advisor, Final FAQs, Model Disclosure Form, and Enforcement Fact Sheet Regarding Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Parity summarizes the new guidance and outlines how benefit plans must comply with the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008.

Co-branded versions of both Advisors have been emailed to Partners and are available for download from AdEase.
