Compliance Recap and Updated Compliance Advisors

The co-branded November Compliance Recap was sent to all Partners last week and is available on AdEase. In addition, an Advisor relating to ACA reporting and one relating to Medicare secondary payer rules have been updated.

The November Compliance Recap is a summary of key compliance updates last month, including information on:

  • Draft 2019 forms for 1094-B, 2019-B, 1094-C and 1095-C
  • 2020 inflation-adjusted health plan limits
  • Inflation-adjusted federal civil penalty amounts
  • Conscience rights protection final rule vacated by District Court
  • Proposed rules on coverage transparency and final rules on hospital price transparency

The Compliance team has updated the FAQ What You Need to Know about Medicare Secondary Payer Rules and made updates to the Advisor IRS Releases draft 2019 ACA Reporting Forms and Instructions. The Advisor on ACA reporting includes IRS guidance on an extension of the due date when employers need to furnish 2019 Forms 1095-B and 1095-C to individuals, penalty relief to employers who make a good faith effort to comply with the ACA reporting requirements, and enforcement relief from the penalty for failing to furnish Form 1095-B to individuals if an employer meets certain conditions.
