UBA Account Manager Academy Details

In the 2017 United Benefit Advisors’ Account Manager program, the objective is to enable Account Managers to leverage the client discovery process, renewal strategy, a personal toolkit, compliance awareness, technology, and interpersonal skills to create a better engagement experience for their clients.

The program is geared toward participants with at least one year of agency brokerage experience, preferably in client service.  Participants should have client-facing service responsibilities including, but not limited to, renewal preparation and presentations, compliance, additional product and service needs, and overall client satisfaction.

Account Manager Academy participants will:

  • Learn how to evaluate communication preferences through DiSC® training. Participants will take the DiSC® profile and receive their own personal assessment.
  • Conduct a discovery process to enable annual account planning
  • Learn about UBA services and Strategic Partners to develop creative client solutions
  • Create a personal toolkit and build a network of colleagues with whom they can continue the dialogue and share ideas and best practices

The nearly three full days of instruction include detailed account training and people engagement techniques weaved through realistic examples from the account manager perspective. Training experience will include roundtables, panel discussions, and classroom "chalk talks."

The program is highly interactive and participants will leave the academy being able to conduct a complex technical conversation complete with buying recommendations in a language the client will understand.
