Save the Date: UBA’s New Compliance 101

UBA is proud to announce a brand-new program for its Partner Firms – the UBA Compliance 101 E-Learning Course! Registration for this nine-session course will open on June 15.

The course is geared toward new agency hires, or employees who may not be familiar with all the nuances of compliance and how to identify red flags.

Sessions for UBA’s Compliance 101 E-Learning Course will start in July 2017, and will include a weekly lecture, discussion, and resources. The nine sessions will cover the following topics:

  • Module 1 - Overview
  • Module 2 - Plan Documents
  • Module 3 - Nondiscrimination
  • Module 4 - IRC Section 125/Cafeteria Plans
  • Module 5 - Account Based Plans (FSAs, HSAs, HRAs, QSE HRAs)
  • Module 6 - COBRA and FMLA
  • Module 7 - Medicare and Group Health Plans
  • Module 8 - Recordkeeping and Reporting
  • Module 9 - Conclusion

All sessions will be taught by UBA Compliance Department staff Danielle Capilla, UBA Chief Compliance Officer, and Karen Hsu, UBA Staff Compliance Attorney. The UBA Compliance 101 E-Learning Course is exclusively for UBA Partner Firms only and seating is limited to ONLY 20 participants. The total cost is $250 for the entire webinar course.
