Building Stronger Alliances

UBA is pleased to inform you about the new Strategic Solution Alliance and Strategic Carrier Alliance program for UBA-endorsed service providers. The program replaces the Certified Solution, non-carrier, and carrier service provider policies with improved guidelines, uniformity, and clarity around what UBA expects. You will soon see an applicable designation emblem on each alliance's Wisdom Network page to signify their commitment to this program and to our UBA Partners.

Expectations

The goal of the Products, Tools, and Services Committee is to deliver to our partnership those products and services that are considered best in class and to bring them to you at preferred terms. We ask our partnership to be loyal to vetted UBA Strategic Solution Alliances prior to looking at those vendors that are not approved or supporting UBA. Our UBA Conference policy also supports our Strategic Alliance exclusivity agreement and does not allow any outside company or company representative, UBA corporate, UBA partnership or UBA Strategic Alliances to attend any UBA-sponsored conference (including regional and special interest group meetings) without the express written consent of the UBA President.

Structure

Strategic Solution Alliances fall into one of four levels of access and are designated Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Carrier. As you would expect, vendors that are larger and seeking the greatest exposure to our partnership have opted for Gold or Platinum Alliance status. Others have decided on the Silver Alliance level, which mirrors in many ways our previous "Certified Solution" designation. Previous Strategic Partner status is now reserved exclusively for insurance carriers, which are designated as Strategic Carrier Alliances. In addition, you'll see emblems on the Wisdom Network for the current Partner-Provided and UBA-Provided Solutions designations.

Opportunities

With the help of the Strategic Partner and Products, Tools, and Services Committees, we created a brochure featuring the exclusive benefits and privileges of a Strategic Solution Alliance. The brochure includes the offerings and the financial investment required of each relationship. In tandem, each alliance is required to sign a legal agreement, with the intent of 1) protecting UBA, and 2) highlighting the terms of the agreement.
