THE POWER OF ONE - Guidelines and Co-Branding Examples

Posted by: Geoff Mukhtar    Feb 3, 2017

As a reminder, effective January 1, 2017, UBA implemented a document branding/copyright protection initiative called "The Power of One" to establish and communicate standards for use of UBA copyrighted and protected information. This means that all proprietary documents such as compliance materials, white papers, UBA Partner documents, etc. that are UBA branded and copyright protected will need proper attribution if communicated externally.

UBA Document Usage Standards

Through this new initiative, we will ensure that sharing proprietary information is done using a universally followed document standard. Additionally, we are trying to protect ourselves from competitors taking our information and weakening our national brand, your competitive advantage, and diluting our position as thought leaders. Together, we can build brand awareness and provide a better "return" on what each individual Partner provides via a combination of passion, purpose, and consistently pulling together.

What Needs to be Done Going Forward

As part of this initiative, UBA is providing simple guidelines and co-branding examples for print and digital communication. These new guidelines, especially sections 1.5 and 1.6, should be reviewed by all Partner Firm employees if they are going to share information provided by UBA. The UBA Corporate Branding Guidelines manual can be downloaded here or via the button below.

In addition to the manual, UBA will offer a webinar training session to all UBA Partners on how to co-brand documents and the importance of branding and secure sharing. This session will be announced later.
