Shared Wisdom yields powerful results! We want our Partners to keep talking about the UBA Fall Conference, or asking questions if they missed it.

P1020751_b.jpgThat's why we've listed the key take-aways that should be top-of-mind. You can access the materials from the UBA Fall Conference including presentations, videos, and more!

Please share these take-aways with your staff so that they will also be involved in any discussions. Remember, collaboration is what makes us successful! So, keep talking and we look forward to seeing everyone at the next UBA conference.

1

The highest-rated session was “Catch Me If You Can” by Frank Abagnale, the inspiration for the film of the same name and one of the world’s most respected authorities on forgery, embezzlement, and secure documents. Frank captivated the audience with his knowledge and storytelling ability.

2

UBA continued celebrating its 15th Anniversary with activities such as the UBA Idea Wall, UBA Jeopardy, a relay race, and a special anniversary cake. All of these provided a fun and entertaining break while marking a highly important milestone.

3

New UBA President Peter Weber's entrance was punctuated by a version of carpool karaoke and he was welcomed with open arms.

4

The UBA Producer Academy held its graduation ceremony. There are now an additional 19 producers who are poised to earn their agencies more money.

5

The "ALL IN" theme of the conference helped spur the sharing of new ideas. A poker chip system kept track of those who shared the most, and the top collaborators were rewarded with their choice of autographed footballs from Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks.

6

Another well-attended session was UBA Senior Vice President of Compliance and Operations Danielle Capilla's "Held Hostage" ransomware presentation. Danielle provided a detailed timeline and step-by-step process of what UBA learned and how to protect your business.

7

Social media guru Tara Hunt delivered an impassioned and motivational presentation on how social media is core to the lives of clients and how Partners can leverage it to get in front of clients and prospects, build relationships, and grow their business.

8

Janet Trautwein, NAHU Executive Vice President and CEO, thanked UBA for its strong partnership and the fact that NAHU gained 27 new members from the conference and raised $47,000 (including a $20,000 matching gift from UBA) for HUPAC, NAHU's political action committee.

9

The always popular UBA "boot camp" showcased through first-hand accounts the advantages that UBA offers (Compliance, UBA Health Plan Survey, Marketing, Products/Tools/Services) to keep Partners at the forefront of thought leadership.

10

Continuing a conference tradition, UBA staff was ready to discuss their various roles and responsibilities with Partners at the UBA "office hours" booth. This helped Partners know there was a team that was ready to assist them at any time and who to contact depending on the area of need.
