UBA is pleased to announce several recent Board and staff updates.
UBA Board Update
Mike Johnson, founder and principal of Johnson & Dugan, located in Burlingame, California, has committed to serve in the Northwest Region board position previously held by Lon Wilson of Wilson Albers LLC. Johnson & Dugan has been a UBA Partner Firm for over 14 years. Mike has previously served as committee chair of the Products, Tools, and Services Committee. Mike will be a great representative and sounding board for both his regional associates and for all UBA Partners.
Mike is replacing Lon Wilson, who for the past five years has brought dedicated and remarkable service to the UBA Board of Directors, including serving as our board chair. Lon excelled at board governance, made immeasurable contributions to UBA, and always has UBA's best interest at heart. Lon took the leap of faith in joining UBA with the initial group of Charter Partners 15 years ago.
UBA Staff Updates
UBA is also pleased to announce that we have hired a new Director of Partner Development, Dan Jordan. Dan joined UBA on December 1, 2017, and reports to John Behn, UBA Senior Vice President of Partner Relations. Dan has spent the last 19 years in the insurance industry, specifically developing lasting agent relationships. He is a results-driven personality with many sales accomplishments (that would certainly complement our growth goals) and has worked for Ameritas LIfe, Starmark, and Trustmark. Dan will be based in the Itasca, Illinois, office. Born and raised in Chicago, Dan attended Illinois State and holds several insurance-related licenses. He lives in St. Charles, Illinois, with his wife of 14 years, Cindy. They have three children: Bryan (8), Ben (5), and Allison (1). Dan is a diehard Chicago Bears fan and usually attends a Chicago White Sox opener every year.
We are also excited to announce the hiring of Wendy Sharrow as UBA's new Administrative Coordinator for the Compliance and Partner Relations teams. Wendy joined UBA on November 27, 2017, and is also based in the Itasca office. She moved from Florida to the Chicago area to be with family, and has a great background supporting various organizations in the religious, insurance, and education industries. She also owned her own professional organization company. Wendy has an MBA from the University of Phoenix and an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Roosevelt University. Wendy shares Dan's enthusiasm for Sox baseball.
