Please join UBA in welcoming John Behn as our new Senior Vice President of Partner Relations. Based in the Chicago office, John will lead the overall Partner Firm experience, including prospecting, recruiting, and onboarding Partner Firms; partnering with best-in-class Strategic Partners and Certified Solutions; shared underwriting services; annual conferences; and providing ongoing education and development for Partner Firm employees.

John began his career in the financial services arena in 1991 where he built a full-service financial services practice from scratch. He has comprehensive field and home office experience—having worked in nearly all insurance, investment and retirement disciplines, with regard to business development, relationship management, sales leadership, operations and training and development. Prior to joining UBA, John led nationwide wholesale and retail distribution channels at Transamerica and Securities America, where some of his teams’ sales records are still models of excellence throughout the industry.

Along with deep and extensive benefits industry knowledge, John has a strong service commitment. He is an avid supporter and volunteer of GAMA International, the world’s largest association dedicated to supporting those in sales and developmental leadership within the insurance, investments, and financial services arena. He volunteers at multiple charities including Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Junior Achievement USA, and is a volunteer high school varsity baseball and football coach, in addition to still coaching elite collegiate athletes. John graduated from Truman State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing. He is a featured author and speaker on innovations in leadership, having worked with Fortune 500 companies, collegiate teams, NFL, MLB, and NBA organizations.
