UBA's Compliance 101 E-Learning Course: 2018 Dates

e-learning on tabletUBA is proud to announce that the UBA Compliance 101 E-Learning Course will be returning in 2018! Registration for this nine-session course will open in January.

During this nine-session webinar course, attendees will learn the basics of group health plan compliance. The course is geared toward new agency hires, or employees who may not be familiar with all the nuances of compliance and how to identify red flags.

Registration will open on January 3, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time

Registration will be done via email, and instructions for completing registration will be sent out at 3:00 p.m. Eastern on January 3, 2018.

Sessions for the Compliance 101 course will begin in February 2018, and will include a weekly lecture, discussion and resources. We plan to record each session's lecture and make the post-session recordings available to our course participants via the Wisdom Network's Compliance 101 webpage. Each session will last approximately 1.25 hours and start at Noon Central time. The nine sessions will cover the following topics:

Module 1 February 14, 2018 Overview
Module 2 February 21, 2018 Plan Documents
Module 3 March 7, 2018 Nondiscrimination
Module 4 March 14, 2018 IRC Section 125/Cafeteria Plans
Module 5 March 21, 2018 Account Based Plans (FSAs, HSAs, HRAs, QSE HRAs
Module 6 March 28, 2018 COBRA and FMLA
Module 7 April 4, 2018 Medicare and Group Health Plans
Module 8 April 11, 2018 Recordkeeping and Reporting
Module 9 April 18, 2018 Conclusion

 

All sessions will be taught by UBA Compliance Department staff Danielle Capilla, UBA Senior VP of Compliance and Operations, and Karen Hsu, UBA Manager of Compliance. The UBA Compliance 101 E-Learning Course is exclusively for UBA Partner Firms, and seating is limited to 25 participants. The total cost is $250 per person for the entire webinar course. Please note that, due to the interactive nature of the course, seats cannot be shared by multiple Partner Firm individuals.
