On December 20, 2019, the President signed the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020,which included an extension of the PCORI fee and repeal of the "Cadillac" tax. We have updated another of our Compliance Advisors to reflect this change.
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) fee is extended to 2029, and the 40% excise tax on high-cost health insurance (the "Cadillac tax") has been repealed. UBA's Compliance Advisor summarizing Federal Requirements for Fully Insured and Self-Funded Plans has been updated to reflect these two changes.
