The Department of Labor (DOL) issued its annual adjustment of federal civil monetary penalties. The Compliance team has updated three Advisors to reflect the increased penalty amounts: Highlights of the SBC Requirement, SBC FAQ, and What Group Health Plan Sponsors Need to Know about ERISA.

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services published a final rule that increases the civil monetary penalties for HIPAA violations. We updated our Advisor HIPAA Best Practices Guide to reflect these inflation-adjusted HIPAA penalties
